The fate of humanity

Different species have become extinct over the course of history.
Once there were humongous dinosaurs that roamed the seven continents & the vast oceans. But in time they were replaced by the comparatively meager homo-sapien race. Scientists suggested that a comet may have been the catalyst to the demise of the dinosaurs.
But what if one species going extinct and another one finding it’s footing is the way it is meant to be? What if the Bengal tiger is supposed to go extinct, maybe to be replaced by a different species in the coming millennia?
What if the course of history is already predetermined and inscribed in
the annals of time?
What if humanity is also destined to suffer a similar fate?
